About The Event

The 2023 Mid-America Region Safety Engineer Roundtable meeting is taking place in-person in Austin, Texas. The purpose of the roundtable is to provide an opportunity for States in the same region to discuss the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), highway safety issues, concerns, and noteworthy practices with their peers.

Registration for this event ended on October 21, 2023.

Transportation to the Event

The target audience for this roundtable meeting is State and Federal Safety Engineers, HSIP Managers, and other highway safety stakeholders.

FHWA will provide invitational travel for two representatives from each State, but other State and Federal representatives are welcome to attend at their own expense. Invitational travel includes all expenses incurred to attend the event, including transportation, lodging, and meals.

More information will be provided on transportation to/from the hotel and meeting space.

Event Accommodations

FHWA’s contractor has reserved a block of rooms at the Staybridge Suites for December 12th though December 14th. On the registration form, please indicate if you would like a room in the room block, and the contractor will make the arrangements for you. The hotel is located at 901 Little Texas Lane, Building #F, Austin, TX 78745.

Lodging must be booked by November 13th.

Additional hotel options are available nearby if you so choose, though attendees can only be compensated for the Federal lodging per diem of $184/night.
